Life transitions & change
Career, separation, midlife. The moment the old shape stops fitting and the new one has not arrived.
(The work)
Not a crisis. Something quieter, and much older.
Most people arrive carrying something they have carried for years, and have become very good at carrying.
This work is not about carrying it better. It is about going back far enough to meet the part of you that decided it had to.
You do not need a diagnosis to begin. Only some curiosity about what is underneath, and a willingness to go there slowly.
(Why people come)
Career, separation, midlife. The moment the old shape stops fitting and the new one has not arrived.
The same dynamic, a different person.
Including the losses that are rarely given room.
We find out whose voice it originally was.
Who you are underneath the roles, and what you make of meaning or something larger. Questions that rarely get a serious hearing anywhere else.
A nervous system never told the emergency is over.
One event, a relationship, or a slow accumulation of small ruptures.
For the one everybody else relies on.
What was inherited rather than chosen.
(How I work)
01 / 05
(The ground)
Most of the deepest wounding happened in relationship. It follows that the repair happens there too – what takes place between us is not preparation for the work. It is the work.
(Depth)
I trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London, in Assagioli’s tradition. The psyche is not one voice but a system of parts, each formed for a reason. We work to understand what they protect, not to remove them.
(The body)
Insight has a ceiling. You can understand a pattern completely and still find your body doing it. So we track the body from the start, in small amounts rather than flooding it.
(The origin)
How you reach for people was shaped long before you had any say in it. Naming which adaptation you made is often the moment it stops looking like a character flaw.
(Pace)
What matters is not the size of the event but what your system could metabolise at the time. Going faster is not braver. It is just less effective.
(Emma-Jayne)
I’ve always been curious about life, and I trust its intelligence and its power to shape who we become. I’ve moved through many changes and transitions in my life, and each one still grounds my work in humility and presence. Years of healing through therapy and training have taught me to turn what once overwhelmed me into clarity and purpose.
I’ve learned that wisdom often hides in what we avoid, like pain, discomfort, and the unknown, and facing it, rather than running, is what truly transforms us. Most of our deepest wounding happens in relationship, so it makes sense that the relationship in therapy is often where the deepest healing happens too.
Whatever you call that process, healing, recovery, growth, the deeper we feel ourselves, the more fully we can show up for others. This work is never finished; my own growth sets the limit on how far I can walk with my clients. I believe healers must know their own depths and keep facing their hardest places.
Following my heart has led me through hard, uncertain ground: doubt, stumbles, judgment. But I always find my way back, back to presence, back to authenticity. That’s my deepest promise to myself, and my greatest hope for anyone I get to walk this path with: that they find their way back too.
(The facts)
A 15-minute call, at your pace. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and see if we’re a good fit.
Fifty minutes, same time each week. Weekly is what makes depth work possible.
Open-ended psychotherapy, using relational models in an in-depth way. Sometimes short-term, time-limited work over 12 sessions, where we focus on a specific issue or navigate through a difficult period, can be an option if it’s appropriate for your situation.
